Albana Karapanço is an Attorney at Law and strategy executive with experience in international business law, EU law, and emerging intersections between law, technology, and regulation. She holds advanced studies in International Business Law with specialization in EU and US legal frameworks, and her expertise spans commercial and corporate law, data protection and privacy, intellectual property, and comparative legal analysis vis-à-vis the EU acquis.
Licensed by the National Chamber of Advocates of Albania since 2013, Albana has 16 years of experience as external counsel, in-house counsel, legal expert, and C-suite executive. She has advised companies, institutions, and international partners on compliance, regulatory alignment, and strategic decision-making, and has led work in the technology sector across legal compliance, technology transactions, business development, and data governance.
She currently serves as Chair of the Legal, Regulatory, and Intellectual Property Rights Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in Albania, contributing to legislative analysis, public consultation, regulatory drafting, and EU integration-related reforms.
Albana also brings seven years of experience in strategy development and implementation for companies and projects, including action plans, execution frameworks, and market studies. She has extensive knowledge of the Albanian legal and regulatory system and supports organizations in compliance, EU alignment, startup guidance, and sustainable development priorities.
Her experience includes legal research and mentoring in business law, company law, intellectual property, food safety, and related fields for both institutional and private-sector environments. She is an alumna of the Plug and Play Silicon Valley GOAL Program, gaining exposure to global innovation, investors, and multinational corporations.
Throughout her career, Albana has engaged with a wide range of stakeholders — including public authorities, international organizations, corporates, and business associations — on regulatory submissions, documentation, procurement procedures, and partnership development.
